How to Use Your 1 Hour of Social Media a Day Without Wasting It
Amarok Creator
What if you only had 1 hour of social media per day, how would you actually use it?
Would you still pour real effort into every post, or just shitpost, scroll mindlessly, then bounce?
Most people online aren’t creators.
Their priority isn’t making art or building an audience for it.
I have to keep reminding myself of that.
As a creator, I hold myself to high standards.
French literature + graphic design background.
At 23 I chose to immigrate to France.
No matter what life threw at me, I never dropped the dream of becoming a European citizen one day.
I refuse to settle for the easiest path and call it “what I deserve.”
At 19 I dreamed of living abroad as a Chinese woman.
One of the biggest dreams of my life.
I’m still working on it.
I’m not French yet, I don’t feel it inside.
I could’ve applied for nationality already. But deep down I know I’m not there yet.
No, I’m not a refugee or some desperate woman fleeing for survival.
Not at all.
I used my parents’ money to chase this.
They supported me fully.
They’re proud of my choice, my courage.
They believe their daughter deserves to pursue a different life.
I could’ve had everything most people in China dream of.
But that’s the easy way.
The default script society hands out.
I despise it.
I’m not a clone.
I’m drawn to weirdos because they feel more alive than animals.
Copying someone else’s life is too damn easy.
What do you actually want?
Do you ever ask yourself that?
Or do you just ignore the question?
I’m cynical as hell.
And yes I want to be a content creator.
But not just any one.
If I’d been born in the 19th century, I’d still be writing something nobody wanted to read.
I’m so glad I’ve met other weirdos doing wild shit online.
You show the world new possibilities.
You build from nothing.
You challenge every traditional value.
You bring a completely new perspective.
To me, you’re the real winners.
One day I’ll write about you, because the fact that you exist is already fascinating.
You are the artwork.
